American Animal Rescue Society - Cat Adoption - Dog Adoption
If you are interested in adopting a pet, fill out the form below. Please keep in mind several points when adopting an animal:
- You must be at least 21 years old
- You must have identification with your current address
- You must have consent from your landlord before beginning the adoption process
- You must accept the responsibilities that go along with having a pet, including spending the time and money required to insure the animal receives the proper training and medical treatment.
- Filling out this form does not automatically guarantee an adoption. It's just the first step.
- The adoption donation is considered a donation to provide care for this & other rescued pets & is not refundable.
- The application is in place to ensure that you & the pet you are adopting are the best possible match.
- We have the right to approve or deny any applications.
- We make every effort to ensure that the pet you adopt from us is healthy. All rescued animals are examined by a veterinarian, vaccinated against communicable diseases, a heartworm test done, a fecal & deworming, are spayed/neutered & microchipped. Cats are also tested for FIV/Leuk. Occasionally a pet may not show symptoms of a disease until after he/she is adopted. This is completely unavoidable & you are responsible for all medical expenses incurred after adoption.
