There are a number of ways you can help end animal cruelty and suffering!

If you ever witness an animal being abused, fought, neglected or abandoned please contact your local police department and be persistent!  Please don't think that someone else will report it because chances are they will not.  You can remain completely anonymous so there is no need to worry.

Dog fighting is illegal!!!  If you suspect dog fighting in your neighborhood or know of fighting going on please report it to your local police department immediately!!!  Or you can also send AARS an email and all of your information will be strictly confidential.

Never buy and always adopt since the cute little puppies who are sold at pet stores come from puppy mills!  The adults are forced to live in deplorable conditions like tiny wire cages without ever getting a chance to step outside for a breath of fresh air.  They suffer in silence and will until the day they die since they are only a paycheck to the breeders.  So next time you or someone you know is looking for that special pet to add to their family, please take a look at your local shelters or specific breed rescues!
